Boost the customer experience and increase revenue
— at no cost to you.
I’m Bill Montee, a.k.a. DJ KLSC (“Classic”), producer and host of Nostalgic Nights Northwest, a retro music multimedia show built for adults who love the ‘70s through the ‘90s. The show blends music, nostalgia, and live hosting into a fun multimedia experience that keeps guests engaged whether they’re on the dance floor or relaxing at the tables.
The result: guests enjoy themselves more, come more often, and stick around longer.
adaptable for any neighborhood venue
Whether you offer an energetic venue with dance nights, a chill pub with not much more than cold beer and pool, or something in between, Nostalgic Nights NW fits. It can be scaled and adjusted in both size and programming to match your shop’s pace, space, volume, and vibe.
And don’t let a lack of recorded music licensing stop ya from reading on… I carry my own.
Rise Above!
Most venues rely on the same core entertainment for their customers: online subscriptions to karaoke, music bingo, trivia, etc., and/or local bands. The local bar scene is oversaturated with these options, making it easy for your customers to go elsewhere.
If you want to stand out so they stay, break the pattern:
Choose a fresh, new entertainment option — don’t just switch to a different automated bar game, try to find a new angle on karaoke, or hope to get lucky with a different local band.
Instead of parking your customers in front of a guy who talks or sings at them with a laptop or guitar, give them a show with a charismatic host who talks with them while presenting fun, engaging content that makes them feel like they are part of the show itself.
Lean heavily into music-driven nostalgia. In this stressful, divided world, people crave the comfort of their younger years — the era when music brought people together.
Offer A Retro Music Experience With Character
Enter Nostalgic Nights NW, a retro music multimedia show created and delivered by a real show host. It’s a great time for everyone, and it’s unique. It’s not an online subscription, and it’s not another local band with a different name. It’s hand-crafted, old‑school entertainment hosted by yours truly — a quirky, likeable dude who enjoys being in front of people.
I lean on the confidence and experience gained in my musical theatre and public speaking background to move through the room, engaging and interacting, making everyone feel connected to both me and each other. You’ll see me at the tables; you’ll see me on the dance floor.
This show is about two-way connection. If the audience isn’t talking with me, I’m doing something wrong.
“Sounds great, but what exactly does the show entail?”
Nostalgic Nights NW features a wide variety of retro videos and tracks, enhanced with plenty of playful pop culture banter, multimedia nuggets, and activities that breathe new life into classic, familiar songs. Examples include:
Sound bites & media clips
Sing-alongs
Interesting song/video/movie production factoids
Fashion trend rewinds, iconic movie quotes
Throwback trivia and pop-culture history/news references
and more…
Everything is designed to tingle the nostalgia nerve, and nostalgia sells.
You’ll see some of your familiar bar‑night staples, but reimagined and delivered through a more personal, conversational format — not a phone or piece of paper. WE (“we,” not just, “I”) talk, laugh, smile, dance on the floor, or dance in our chairs. We don’t click or write.
As for the “DJ” piece: It isn’t an eardrum-busting, hype-filled rave, EMO, or EDM show. The music is at an appropriate volume for the space and energy level. Songs are transitioned smoothly but always played exactly as your customers love and remember them — original recordings that are never chopped, remixed, or buried under flashy “look at me” DJ tricks. I carry the DJ title, but not the DJ schtick.
The shared enjoyment of this retro buffet brings the room together. Nostalgic Nights NW reminds those of us who grew up in those decades that we are bonded because of them.
It makes people feel good, and encourages them to stick around for more.

do you spin vinyl?
How could I claim retro and NOT? Vinyl is an available option, as part of a mix with digital. Nearly all albums are original pressings from the pre-CD era.
