Introducing Nostalgic Nights Northwest — a retro music and pop-culture revue featuring the iconic videos and songs of the ’70s, ‘80s, and ’90s, enhanced with a wide variety of entertaining multimedia, performance, and audience-interactive touches that add fun, laughs, and character — boosting those awesome throwback feels!

The music and pop-culture memories of the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s create a powerful, unifying experience that people crave. And who better to bring them to you than someone who actually lived through and was shaped by those years. A guy who obsessively listened to “American Top 40” with Casey Kasem, and watched TV shows like “Solid Gold,” “Headbangers Ball,” and ”Yo! MTV Raps!”

Nostalgic Nights NW is crafted to tap into the nostalgia people love, and unite host and audience old-school style, with real human connection. My background in musical theatre and public speaking position me perfectly to entertain my clients and their guests, celebrating those awesome decades with them, instead of just playing music at them.

Music is at the heart of the show, but with special enhancements woven in, such as:

  • Sound bites & retro media clips

  • Sketches

  • Group sing‑alongs

  • Props

  • Themes

  • Fun production factoids

  • Nods to other pop-culture topics like fashion, movies, news events, or cultural trends

All of this makes for one crazy, fun evening!

If you’re looking for a traditional “DJ,” I’m not your guy.

  • I am a show host and entertainer. “DJ” is just my title, as “Show Host and Entertainer KLSC” was a bit of a mouthful!

  • I play music videos and songs, but I don’t use a lot of fancy “Look at me!” DJ tricks. Songs are blended together nicely, but I don’t chop them up, use remixes, or lay beats over ballads trying to turn them into dance tracks. My audiences aren’t into that stuff. They come to be entertained by the variety of music and bits I offer, and they want to hear the tracks as they know them from back in the day.

Not just dance music!

Shows will feature a wide variety of music, some paired with the enhancements mentioned above, and some not. Of course you can expect plenty of great dance sets — and the energy they bring — but you can also expect some shorter sets of non-dance music. No vibe killers, but stuff that’s a little less intense and best suited just for sitting at your table with your friends and singing along. There’s a lot of great music out there that wasn’t written with dance in mind.

Beyond Screens and Sound

When it’s the right fit for the setting, the show includes dance lighting, atmospheric haze, and fun holograms.

Shows can be customized to feature one, two, or all three decades
